OpenAI
ChatGPT Health introduces a dedicated space inside ChatGPT that can securely connect your medical records and wellness apps to ground conversations in your own health context, helping with tasks like understanding lab results, preparing for doctor visits, and planning diet and workouts.
The product adds layered protections for sensitive data, including purpose-built encryption, isolation, separate Health memories, and a commitment that Health conversations aren’t used to train OpenAI’s foundation models, with controls to view/delete memories and disconnect apps anytime.
OpenAI says Health was built with extensive physician collaboration and evaluated using HealthBench, and access is rolling out via a waitlist (starting with a small group of users on Free/Go/Plus/Pro outside the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK) with initial integrations like Apple Health (iOS), MyFitnessPal, and U.S.-only medical record connections via b.well.
𝕏: 2026 may be the year AI begins delivering its most tangible benefit to humanity: better health. Over 200M people already use ChatGPT every week to navigate their health across billions of messages — and today, we’re introducing ChatGPT Health - Karan Singhal (@thekaransinghal)
Grok Is Generating Sexual Content Far More Graphic Than What’s on X
By Matt Burgess via WIRED
xAI’s Grok Imagine (available via Grok’s app and website) is being used to generate far more explicit and sometimes violent sexual videos than what appears on X, including deepfake-style content featuring real people and celebrities.
A researcher at nonprofit AI Forensics reviewed a cache of roughly 1,200 shared Imagine links (about 800 containing Grok-generated media) and estimated under 10% may involve sexualized content of apparent minors, with dozens of URLs reported to European regulators.
WIRED reports Grok’s off-X outputs aren’t public by default but can be accessible via shared links, and the platform appears to lack robust age-gating, raising scrutiny as xAI allows adult content while claiming to prohibit child sexual exploitation and other illegal material.
𝕏: No one should be forced to see an intimate deepfake image of themselves. The behaviour we’ve seen on X recently is appalling, harmful and degrading. It must stop. That’s why this Labour Government is acting to ban the creation of non-consensual explicit deepfakes. - Alex Davies-Jones MP (@AlexDaviesJones)

Google is taking over your Gmail inbox with AI
By Jay Peters via The Verge
Google is rolling out an AI Inbox view in Gmail that replaces the traditional email list with AI-generated personalized to-dos and topic summaries pulled from your messages.
The feature is launching first to “trusted testers” in the US on the web and will initially work only for consumer Gmail accounts, not Workspace, with no current way to mark suggested actions as completed.
Alongside AI Inbox, consumer Gmail users are getting previously paid AI tools like personalized suggested replies, thread summary overviews, and Help Me Write for free, while Google One AI Pro/Ultra subscribers get extra features like proofreading and AI overviews in search.

Silicon Valley Plots Against Ro Khanna After His Support for a Wealth Tax
By Theodore Schleifer via The New York Times
Rep. Ro Khanna is facing a brewing backlash from some Silicon Valley executives after publicly defending a proposed one-time California wealth tax, with donors privately organizing via WhatsApp chats and conference calls to explore funding a challenger.
The group has discussed backing Ethan Agarwal, a little-known Democratic start-up founder, who says he is “seriously considering” a run against Khanna over a ballot measure that would tax California residents worth more than $1 billion at 5% on assets over five years, a proposal Gov. Gavin Newsom opposes.
While insiders view an upset as unlikely given Khanna’s $15 million war chest and strong district support, the fight underscores growing tension between tech leaders and progressive Democrats, with some donors also shifting focus to defeating the tax initiative itself.

Ford has an AI assistant and new hands-free BlueCruise tech on the way
By Sean O’Kane via TechCrunch
Ford is building an AI assistant hosted on Google Cloud, using off-the-shelf LLMs with deep access to vehicle data, so drivers can ask everything from payload questions (like truck-bed capacity) to real-time diagnostics (like oil life).
The assistant will roll out in the revamped Ford app in early 2026, with a native in-vehicle version planned for 2027, though Ford hasn’t said which models get it first.
Ford also teased a next-gen BlueCruise that’s 30% cheaper to produce and more capable, debuting in 2027 on the first EV built on its low-cost “Universal Electric Vehicle” platform, with ambitions that include point-to-point autonomy and eyes-off driving by 2028.
𝕏: Too often the best technology is a luxury few can afford. @Ford was founded on a different mentality. The Model T was a breakthrough product because it was attainable. Democratized. But today in our industry, many are saving their best tech for their most expensive vehicles. Ford is taking a different path. Making the advanced attainable… - Jim Farley (@jimfarley98)
